ISSA/Ashkin Seminar Sold Out
BLOOMINGTON, IN—May 22, 2004—Bill Balek, International Sanitary and Supply Association, Inc., (ISSA) Director of Legislative Affairs and Stephen Ashkin, president of the Ashkin Group, announced today that their upcoming workshop, Pursuing the Green Cleaning Market, to be presented in Arlington, VA on May 25, 2004, is sold out. According to Balek, interest in the seminar has surpassed everyone’s expectations—even the presenters.
“We are thrilled at the amount of interest in this seminar,” says Balek. “We even had to get a larger room to accommodate everyone that signed up.” Ashkin adds that this clearly demonstrates the cleaning and maintenance industry’s growing interest in Green Cleaning.
The workshop will cover a full-range of environmental-related topics, including:
• Defining the Green Cleaning market
• Identifying Green Cleaning products
• Selling Green Cleaning products and systems to the government as well as private sectors
Benefits to Manufacturers and Distributors
According to Ashkin, the workshop’s attendees are an even mix of manufactures and distributors. “These are people and organizations that want to be ‘leaders of the pack,’ differentiating themselves from their competitors,” he says. “They recognize that getting involved with Green Cleaning now presents a unique opportunity to better understand and market environmentally preferable cleaning products in the future.”
The seminar will include a “how to sell it” approach to Green Cleaning. “We will cover a variety of issues related to marketing environmentally preferable cleaning products and systems to healthcare, offices, and the educational industry,” Ashkin says, “as well as federal, state, and local governments.”
Ashkin is very pleased to see ISSA taking a leadership role in the industry regarding Green Cleaning. “The marketplace dynamics in the jansan industry are clearly -changing,” he says. “As in the past, ISSA is helping its members stay on top of changes in the industry.”
The second presentation of Pursuing the Green Cleaning Market, will be held in Newport Beach, CA, on September 30, 2004. For more -information, contact Tracy Weber at ISSA by e-mail at tracy@issa.com, call 800-225-4772, or (North America) 847-982-0800
